Enfield Civic Centre is home to Enfield Council. Occupying 8 floors of the building, the Council were undertaking a complete refurbishment with a coordinated and phased installation over several months. The objective was to implement a new Agile Working Space environment on each floor. Avant Contracts were one of several firms bidding to complete this office refurbishment in London.
To achieve the client’s brief, Avant worked alongside ITC (Main Contractor) and Pellings LLP (Lead Designer). We were responsible for the development, manufacture and installation of lockers, storage walls and soft seating. Although free standing, the lockers were incorporated into the fabric of the layout, so the overall appearance was of fitted units. Each floor had specific colour matched fabrics..
Space planning ensured that lockers and workstations were positioned on the perimeter of each floor. This created a central hub to accommodate formal and informal meeting spaces. We installed “Cocoon Pods” in these areas which offered free standing flexibility.
